Der Sci-Fi-Thriller von Brandon Cronenberg (Sohn von David Cronenberg) ist schwierig zu bewerten, da er sehr eigenwillg ist. Folgende Wörter beschreiben ihn am besten: konfus, verwirrend, abstossend, grotesk, gewalttätig, sexistisch, brutal, blutig, absurd, stumpfsinnig, völlig durchgeknallt. Man muss sich fast ein eigenes Bild davon machen, da der Film nicht in ein Genre kategorisiert werden kann. Aber Achtung: nichts für schwache Nerven, Epileptiker oder Depressive!

Die Ausgangslage ist interessant aber am Schluss bleiben viele Fragen unbeantwortet. Auch die Machart ist sehr künstlerisch und damit eine Frage des persönlichen Geschmacks.

Mir war der Film alles in allem zu abstrus und zu unlogisch (z.B. merkt niemand [Polizei], dass die Opfer eine Wunde und Sonde im Kopf haben). Darum gebe ich dem Film nur 3 Sterne.
