Dumb Money is the ultimate David vs. Goliath tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the mall videogame store) into the world's hottest company. In the middle of everything is regular guy Keith Gill (Paul Dano), who starts it all by sinking his life savings into the stock and posting about it. Interessant, weil wahr

Es stellt sich natürlich die Frage, wie das langfristig läuft. Der sogenannte Short Squeeze wurde möglich, weil die Kleinanleger kauften und ihre Aktien hielten entgegen den Spekulationen der Grossinvestoren. Sobald sie beginnen zu verkaufen und das muss man, um wirklich zu Geld zu kommen, sinkt wohl auch der Preis der Aktie wieder dramatisch. Gamespot wird dargestellt als eine Firma, die längst von Internetanbietern überholt wurde. Auch bei uns kaufen wir vieles online, wir gehen nicht mehr ins Geschäft, das ist der Trend würde ich sagen. Entgegen diesem Trend zu spekulieren, ob das langfristig dann die Aktie hält, weiss ich nicht. Mich dünkt, als sei das eine grosse Aktienblase, die einfach irgendwann mal platzen könnte, weil eben doch überbewertet.
