Megalopolis impressionne par son ambition, mais son scénario confus et sa narration brouillonne le desservent. Heureusement, le casting sauve un peu l’ensemble avec des performances solides, mais ça ne suffit pas à rendre le film captivant.

Si Coppola voulait livrer une fresque épique sur la grandeur et la décadence, il aboutit surtout à un film verbeux et prétentieux.
