Description

As he wound down his days in his Brooklyn apartment, aging ex-Mossad operative Asher (Ron Perlman) wasn't above supplementing his retirement with the occasional contract killing. Optisch bietet ASHER nur Durchschnittskost. Akustisch ist der Film relativ dünn geraten und auch musikalisch ist die Filmmusik ziemlich lahm.

Lahm bleibt auch die Inszenierung. Spannung und Tempo kommt keine auf und auch die visuell grauenhafte Explosion (schlechte Computeranimation) überzeugt nicht.

Übrig bleibt kein Actionfilm oder Thriller, sondern ein ruhiges 0815-Drama mit Ron Perlman. Insgesamt unterhaltsam, aber keineswegs anspruchsvoll oder spektakulär.
