Description

Finnish Second World War drama set in Russian Karelia, near the Finnish border. Lieutenant Eero Perkola is sent on a reconnaissance mission behind enemy lines, leaving his fiancée Lotta Kaarina Vainikainen behind to serve in the Women's Auxiliary Corps. When tragic news reaches the young lieutenant, he throws caution to the wind and becomes alarmingly oblivious to the safety and well-being of himself and his platoon.

Der erste der drei finnischen 2.-Weltkrieg-Filme (Neben Beyond the Frontline und Schlacht um Finnland). Auch hier zeigen die Finnen, dass man auch als kleines europäisches Land erstklassige historische Filme machen kann.
