Gina Kell (Lacey Chabert, TV's Party of Five) loses her husband on Christmas day, but she soon finds a kindred spirit in Michael Spehn (Warren Christie, Apollo 18), a recently-widowed parent at her kids' school. As they help each other and their children though grief, they grow closer and fall in love. However, family and friends cause them to question whether being together is a good idea. They are to ask themselves if their new-found love is strong enough to overcome the grief surrounding both families, or if it is simply too soon for either of them to think about moving on.
