Long before hip hop superstars and thug culture filled our airwaves and shopping malls, the Miami hurricanes brought street values and hood bravado into America`s living room, Recruiting from some of the toughest ghettos in Florida, a football program on the verge of collapse was re-energized with some of the most controversial and brilliant players in college football history. With a newly branded swagger, inspired and fueled by the quickly growing Miami hip hop culture, these Canes took on larger-than-life personalities, winning four national titles between 1983 and 1991.
