Suzy is a young woman in Los Angeles who can't get comfortable in her own skin. Friendless and alone, her sense of alienation begins to stretch into the deepest corners of her life. Before long her anxiety grows into a gnawing suspicion that a true menace lies just outside her field of vision. Scrambling to take control of her life, she discovers to her horror that the harder she tries to break free of her entrapped existence, the stronger her surroundings manage to close her in.
