Based on the best-selling book, Mandingo is a shocking look at plantation life in the Deep South. Mede (Ken Norton) is a slave whose master, Hammond Maxwell (Perry King) intends on keeping him as a prizefighter. As Maxwell focuses his attention on his wenches and Mede's brutal training, his neglected wife (Susan George) turns her passions towards Mede himself. Erstmals wird MANDINGO auf dieser RC1-DVD komplett ungekürzt und unzensiert präsentiert.
Und das in einer guten Bild- und Tonqualität, aber leider ohne jegliche Extras.

Leider handelt es sich hier um eine leicht gekürzte Fassung des Films. Die eigentliche Lauflänge beträgt 127' NTSC, d.h. ca. 122' PAL.
Die Version auf dieser DVD dauert ca. 118' PAL. Es fehlen also etwa 4' PAL. Schade!
Die Bild- und Tonqualität der DVD sind sehr gut.
