Description

Beautiful Kim Delaney (Mission To Mars, NYPD Blues) is Julia, a traveling businesswoman who picks up a handsome stranger, Miles O`Keeffe (Bo Derek`s Tarzan). Their steamy one night stand may be just a fling for Julia, but the mysterious O'Keeffe tells her that "when you make love to someone, it's forever." Disturbing phone calls and unannounced visits from this stranger soon begin to haunt Julia. When her boyfriend, played by Timothy Bottoms (The Last Picture Show, The Paper Chase) becomes suspicious, a shocking chain of events unfolds, leading to an intense and surprising climax.

The Drifter has "... a film style... reminiscent of Manhunter" (Variety). A "dark... tightly focused" thriller, it is similar in plot to Fatal Attraction but with "a clever gender twist" and may even have "more in common with `40s film noir" -The New York Times
