    Ein sehr echter sehr starker Willie Nelson. Zeitlose ehrliche unter die Haut fahrende Musik, und sein typisches Gitarrenspiel hört am erfreulich viel!

    Ein wunderschönes,melodisches Balladen-Album mit einer typischen Country-Instrumentierung: voc,g,dobro,pedalsteel,p,kb,b,harm ,dr. Und dann halt den unnachahmlich-gefühligen Gesang des Barden aus Texas, einfach umwerfend.Neben eigenen Titeln werden Interpretationen von Stücken von Tom Waits,Toby Keith und Gregg Allman geboten, sowie Duette mit Norah Jones,seiner Tochter Paula und vor allem eine Version mit Lucinda Williams mit ihrem "Overtime". Etwas aus dem Rahmen fällt "Midnight Rider" von Gregg Allman mit einem rockigen Abschluss der gelungenen CD. Willie Nelson legt hier ein echtes,ehrliches Country-Album hin.

    Willie hat sich wieder einmal übertroffen. Es gibt ja soviele CDs von ihm, aber diese ist speziell gut gelungen. Es scheint wie beim Wein zu sein: Je älter, desto besser. Bravo!
