    Eine ausgesuchte Compilation aus dem Verve-Archiv mit Aufnahmen von 1950 bis 1954. Insesamt 18 Titel mit dem Parker Quartet/Quintet/Sextet und Septet inkl. den Meisterwerken Now`s The Time/Chi-Chi/Star Eyes/K.C.Blues/Lover Man und einer interessanten Version von "La Paloma".

    Beinahe 70 Minuten "Bird" at his Best! 1946-1947 mit Dizzy/Miles/McGhee/John Lewis/Bud Powell/Max Roach u.a. Titel wie Night In Tunisia/Parkers Mood/Relaxin`At Camarillo/Billies Bounce/Donna Lee und und und...Weitgehend Aufnahmen für Dial und Savoy. Zusammengestellt von Francis Dreyfus für sein eigenes Label.Mit neuer Aufnahmetechnik klingen die Stücke beinahe so wie die alten Vinylplatten.
