Un giorno Crysta, che vive nella foresta incantata di Ferngully, decide di fare un lungo viaggio con Batty, un nuovo amico svitato e simpatico, e insieme arrivano ai confini della magia foresta. Ma li attende una spiacevole sorpresa: gli uomini stanno distruggendo gli alberi di Ferngully.
