i bambini lo amano. i magnati della tv lo adorano. dovrebbe essere sufficiente perché rainbow randolph, l'anfitrione degli show per bambini, ormai disoccupato, veda i sorci verdi. da quando smoochy il rinoceronte, qull'enorme peluche fucsia che sprizza buoni propositi da tutti i pori, si è lanciato nella danza scatenata del jiggy ziggy durante il programma di randolph, questi ha un unico folle obiettivo: ridurre il rinoceronte in polpette.
danny de vito, il regista dei macabri e sarcastici getta la mamma dal treno e la guerra dei roses, trafigge la televisione dei bambini con questo divertente e velenoso eliminate smocchy. robin williams, con il suo famoso umorismo pungente, interpreta lo sguaiato randolph. edward norton è la nobile mente la cui creazione dell'integerrimo smoochy ha destato scalpore. catherine keener interpreta una manager dai facili costumi con un debole per i conduttori di successo dei programmi per bambini, ma in una visione più... adulta. aggiungete un viscido agente, un perfido boss e ogni tipo di demenza e sarete pronti a ballare il jiggy ziggy o a prendere il rinoceronte per il corno.

cela jusqu'au bout (ceux qui n'ont pas remarqué que de Vito se fout de la gueule des ridicules spectacles Di$ney on ice ne sont pas faits pour ce film). Méchant, hilarant, esthétiquement extrêmement travaillé, un bonheur absolu de comédie vénère avec un Robin Williams prodigieux et qui, dans l'indifférence générale, nous offrait la même année deux prestations phénoménales dans Insomnia (où il écrasait Pacino) et surtout dans le brillantissime One hour photo. Hollywood a foiré Robin Williams tout comme Jim Carrey (Man on the moon, The Truman show, The cable guy, I love you Philip Morris et Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, c'est quand légèrement plus intéressant que Sonic et Cie). De Vito signée son meilleur film (100% misanthrope ça fait du bien) avec Balance maman hors du train et le très sous-estimé Hoffa.

Gibt sicher bessere schwarze Komödien als diese, jedoch auch schlechtere. Ist für eine heutige, schwarze Komödie ein bisschen lau ausgefallen.

Aber die Hintermänner im Showbiz kriegen schon ihr Fett weg. Hat sehr viele zweideutige Dialoge über das wahre Kinderfernsehen...

Besetzung ist auch nicht schlecht...Edward Norton legt wieder eine beeindruckende Leistung hin.

Aber ob das alles ausreicht, für eine schw.Komödie...??
