Nel 1942, durante il governo di Vichy, un reparto francese impedisce, secondo gli ordini ricevuti, il passaggio agli stranieri su un ponte posto fra l'Algeria e la Tunisia; anche se gli stranieri sono militari tedeschi, cioè formalmente "amici".
