The 6th annual BCS National Championship Game will feature SEC Champions, 1st ranked, LSU (13-0), against 2nd ranked Alabama (11-1). This will be the first time that the BCS National Championship Game has featured two teams from the same conference, the same division, and the first time it features teams who have already met in the regular season. LSU, led by the Associated Press college football coach of the year, Les Miles will bring their defensive power into New Orleans. The Alabama Crimson Tide will roll in with running back Trent Richardson (Heisman Nominee) who racked up over 1,900 total yards this season and 23 total touchdowns in the most competitive conference in the nation.
