human side of friendship and love
This customer review refers to an alternative version, which is no longer available.
Two strangers and two heart-broken lives meet in New York under serendipitous circumstances at central station. Brooke (Alice Eve) and Nick (Chris Evans) start on a mid-night journey, initiated by the first unexplained need for Brooke to be in Boston by morning after missing the last train. A journey of human encounter, step-by-step both revealing their live-troubles and love-struggles. From first lending-a-hand, the two become more and more entangled into the other’s live and love story, and start to develop feelings for each other. Temptation become unbearable, though the young, deep friendship keeps in state, where love is of deepest respect to the other, and leaves all open for the time to come. The story end is not closed; it leaves all the possible outcomes for the viewer to decide.
The film did get very mixed reviews – however, from me the film gets all the stars, because it portrays the human side of friendship and love, a love not reserved for a single one – maybe one has to have lived the story to fully appreciate it.
