At the border of the Schengen Area, international laws and conventions have forced thousands of people to live in inhumane camps. One of them is the «hotspot» on the island of Samos, a camp of 6000 souls, built for only 600.

The film gives voice to migrants, volunteers, locals, European border guards and Greek government employees. Their personal stories provide human insight into the European political theatre that has led to this ongoing Greek tragedy. The protagonists voices become the chorale for ’Samos the Faces of Our Border’, a discordant anthem and unflattering portrait of Europe’s welcome to the world.
