Viola e Nicola stanno attraversando un periodo difficile nel loro rapporto di coppia, in seguito ad una interruzione di gravidanza che li ha travolti inaspettatamente. Per superare questa crisi, decidono di passare un weekend tranquillo in un isolato chalet di montagna. Ma quello che doveva essere solo un fine settimana di chiarimenti e relax, diventa a poco a poco un incubo quando, nella testa di uno dei coniugi, si insinua un folle dubbio....
