Description

Mary ist ledig und schwanger - ein denkbar ungünstige Kombination in den 1950er Jahren. Um halbwegs mit der Situation zurechtzukommen, zieht sie in eine von Nonnen geführte Unterkunft für Frauen in ihrer präkeren Situation. Dort spürt Mary jedoch schnell, dass es nicht mit rechten Dingen zugeht und dass die Nonnen alles andere als fromm und gutmütig sind.
