Amedeo è ossessionato dal proposito di farsi ricevere dal Papa ma non ha le conoscenze adatte. Quando incontra Aiché, una prostituta di alto bordo, prova a farsi introdurre da lei nell`alta società romana, ma tutti i personaggi che trova sulla sua strada, anziché aiutarlo, tentano di allontanarlo.
