Description

Martin Blank is a freelance hitman who starts to develop a conscience, which causes him to muff a couple of routine assignments. On the advice of his secretary and his psychiatrist, he attends his 10th year High School reunion in Grosse Pointe, Michigan (a Detroit suburb where he's also contracted to kill someone). Hot on his tail are a couple of over-enthusiastic federal agents, another assassin who wants to kill him, and Grocer, an assassin who wants him to join an "Assassin's Union."

Ist euch auch schon aufgefallen dass John Cusack doch im einen oder anderen Geheimtip mitspielt? Dieser Film hier ist wie 'High Fidelity', 'der Volltreffer', 'Identity' und 'Being John Malkovich' zwar kein mega Renner aber ein feiner, witziger, zuweilen makabrer und sehr unterhaltsames Stück Kino. Gute Rollenwahl des Herrn Cusack...

äusserst gelungener film, mit prima darstellern, sehr unterhaltsamen story und witzigen dialogen. filme in der art gibt es leider viel zu wenige..

...aber gut. Man könnte geradezu annehmen, dass die Darsteller unglaublich Spass bei der Enstehung dieses Films hatten. Alles kommt flott, witzig (manchmal makaber) und überaus unterhaltsam "rüber". Auch der sound lässt manche Reminszens aus den mid-80igern erwachen. Dieser Film ist eher als Persiflage an gängige Gangsterfilme gedacht.
