Robin (Olivia D'Abo - Wayne's World, The Wonder Years) is a high school gymnast with big dreams. But in order to achieve them, she must overcome even bigger odds. When she loses her father and gets seriously injured in a car accident, her hopes are shattered. Without her dad by her side and with the injuries threatening her gymnastics career, she goes to live with her ailing mother and abusive stepfather. Through it all, her boyfriend (Reeves) is a constant shoulder to cry on.
