Five tales of terror are presented. The first deals with a demented old man returning from the grave to get the Father's Day cake his murdering daughter never gave him. The second is about a not-too-bright farmer discovering a meteor that turns everything into plant-life. The third is about a vengeful husband burying his wife and her lover up to their necks on the beach. The fourth is about a creature that resides in a crate under the steps of a college. The final story is about an ultra-rich businessman who gets his comeuppance from cockroaches.

Two macabre masters - writer Stephen King and director George A. Romero - conjure up five shocking yarns, each a virtuoso exercise in the ghouls-and-gags style of classic `50s horror comics.     Creepshow ist einer der besten und lustigsten Horrorfilme der 80er. Früher haben wir auch wie verrückt die Comics „Geistergeschichten“ gelesen und der Film ist Unterhaltung pur. Die vielen Storys sind toll umgesetzt, besonders, wie hier schon erwähnt, „das Tier in der Kiste“. Einfach nur cool!

    Ein Klassiker - das Original. Ist sicher einer der besten Horrorfilme der 80er-Jahre. Besonders das Tier in der Kiste ist sehr gut gemacht. Damals konnte man den Film in den Videotheken auf Videokassette ausleihen. Heute wäre das unvorstellbar.

    D’un grand cynisme, de l’humour noir, des histoires qu’on a envie de regarder jusqu’au bout et qui nous marquent !

    Stephen King sait jouer avec nos peurs.

    5 histoires alliant humour et horreur. Stephen King tient très bien le role de Jordi. A noté aussi la présence de Leslie Nielsen. Pour tout les amateurs du genre "Contes de la crypte" (dont je fais partie)
