Description

Justice Takes A Ride You`ll Never Forget.

Superstar Toby Keith and comedian Rodney Carrington star in this action-packed movie filled with excitement, adventure and revenge. Joe Bill "Rack" Racklin, a rogue Oklahoma deputy sheriff, has just watched another girlfriend pack up and drive out of his life. As fate would have it, his old flame, Annie (Claire Forlani, CSI: NY), has just returned home from the big city. But their reunion is interrupted when Annie is kidnapped by a ruthless drug lord demanding the release of his recently arrested brother.

Operating against orders and racing against time, Rack hits the road with deputy and best friend Lonnie for a raucous road trip across state lines to rescue the love of his life, in this thrill-fest featuring appearances by Emmy winner Tom Skerritt, rock star Ted Nugent and music legend Willie Nelson.

Der Film kommt nur langsam auf Touren - zu Beginn eher etwas ernst, wird er je länger je klamaukhafter. Nun, alles in allem unterhaltsam im C- bis B-Movie-Bereich.

Aus technischer Sicht ist die Blu-ray keine Offenbarung und die ansprechende Bildqualität repräsentiert nur den sprichwörtlichen Silberstreif am Horizont. In den übrigen Aspekten kann sich die Scheibe nur mit einer DVD messen und muss sich deshalb im Vergleich mit ihren multimedialen Kollegen mit einem Platz im hinteren Drittel begnügen.

Auf einen schauspielernden Countrysänger den hier keiner kennt, hat niemand gewartet und wenn die Verfilmung so dilettantisch ausgeführt wird, ist der Weg zum Flop nicht mehr weit. Beer for my Horses gehört mit seinem robusten Charme definitiv zu den Possen, die die Welt nicht braucht und hat sich insgesamt auch keine Empfehlung verdient.

Geiler Country Action Spass mit genialer besetzung: Toby Keith, Ted Nugent, Willie Nelson. und genau so verrückt wie dei besetzung ist, ist ist der film auch. Kaufen!!
