Disillusioned and adrift, gigging guitarist Noah quits the band of his '90s pop icon mentor and returns to his mother's home in Sydney, searching for connection and a sense of belonging. Old wounds resurface, leaving him restless and longing for something more. He finds it in Finn, a vibrant young trans man who communicates only in Auslan and runs a local center and nightclub for the Deaf community. Through music and sign, the two form an intimate bond, each sharing their world with the other.
