2015. Il mondo è nel caos e l`umanità sta per diventare un ricordo del passato. Un ente conosciuto come la Corporation ha elaborato un piano d`azione per distruggere la razza umana, ma la sostanza che hanno creato invece di uccidere riduce il soggetto a uno stato primitivo, chiamato Biosyns. Per Max, un uomo che ha costruito la sua esistenza senza alcun contatto umano nella sperduta campagna, la Biosyns sono il nemico da uccidere. Per la Corporation, lo spietato Max è il pericolo da eliminare.
