Description

Barney Thomson (Robert Carlyle) di mestiere fa il barbiere e vive nella piovosa Glasgow. Niente della sua vita lo soddisfa: è goffo e indolente, lavora in una squallida bottega, insieme al proprietario Wullie Henderson e viene schernito dai clienti perché non sa parlare di calcio. Coinvolto in un omicidio accidentale che potrebbe rovinargli definitivamente l’esistenza, si rivolge alla sua feroce madre (Emma Thompson) in cerca di aiuto. Sarà proprio lei a svelargli il gusto dolce della vendetta, mostrargli come sottrarsi dal torchio investigativo del Detective Holdall e dalla sua task force, ad aiutarlo a sbarazzarsi del cadavere… ma soprattutto ad iniziarlo ad una fitta serie di omicidi seriali nei bassifondi di Glasgow.

der Film ist einfach ein Muss, wenn man schwarzen Humor liebt.
Carlyle und Thompson, die sind unglaublich komisch/witzig und der Schluss: Besser gehts nicht.
