Leider ist in diesem Film einiges anders als in der tollen Buchvorlage von Lisa See und konzentriert sich nicht auf die damalige Freundschaft der Chinesinnen, sondern dichtet noch eine überflüssige Geschichte von zwei Freundinnen von heute in Europa dazu...
