Dragons Forever is a high-energy martial arts action-comedy that unites three of Hong Kong cinema's greatest stars--Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao--at the peak of their powers. Directed by Sammo Hung with co-direction by Corey Yuen, the film represents the final collaboration of this legendary trio, delivering a seamless blend of intricate fight choreography, physical comedy, and charismatic ensemble interplay

Jackie Chan stars as hotshot lawyer Jackie Lung, hired to defend a seemingly legitimate chemical plant owner--only to discover the business is a front for a dangerous narcotics operation. To help unravel the case, he recruits his friends: the cunning and opportunistic Wong Fei-Hung (Sammo Hung) and the eccentric inventor Dung Dak-Biu (Yuen Biao). As loyalties shift and romantic entanglements complicate matters, the trio finds themselves drawn deeper into a criminal conspiracy that culminates in one of the most explosive and inventive finales in Hong Kong action cinema

Balancing sharp comedic timing with breathtaking stunt work, Dragons Forever showcases the trio's signature chemistry while also featuring memorable supporting turns and standout villains, including martial artist Benny 'The Jet' Urquidez. The film's blend of romance, slapstick, and bone-crunching action exemplifies the Golden Harvest era at its most entertaining, and remains one of the definitive showcases of 1980s Hong Kong filmmaking.

This 2-disc Blu-ray edition from 88 Films presents multiple fully restored versions of the film, including the original Hong Kong cut, the international English-language version, and the Japanese version featuring additional footage and an alternate ending with outtakes--all sourced from new 4K restorations

The release is packed with an extensive array of archival and newly produced bonus materials. Audio commentary by Mike Leeder and Arne Venema provides deep insight into the film's production and legacy, while a wide-ranging collection of featurettes and interviews explores the careers and influence of key performers and stunt artists. These include 'The Breaker,' a feature-length retrospective on Billy Chow; 'Kick Fighter,' with Andy Cheng discussing his work with Jackie Chan; 'Beyond Gravity,' featuring Joe Eigo on Bruce Lee's influence; and 'Double Jeopardy,' where Brad Allan reflects on Chan's impact on modern action choreography

Newly produced content includes 'Working with the Dragons,' with Jude Poyer recalling collaborations with the cast; 'Hong Kong Cinema Forever,' where Mike Leeder examines the film's significance; 'Discussing Dragons Forever,' featuring academic David Desser on Chan's legacy; and 'Benny Forever,' an in-depth interview with Benny Urquidez. Additional materials include deleted scenes, outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage, multiple trailers, Japanese end credits, and a range of archival programs that collectively provide a comprehensive look at the film's production, impact, and enduring legacy
