sehenswert, wenn Audrey Tautou mitspielt sowieso. Herrliche, sinnliche Schauspielerin.

Ein sehr guter Film, der eben nicht eine komplette Biografie sein will, sondern die Entwicklung hin zur epochalen Modeschöpferin zeigt, die die moderne, praktische Frauenmode erfand. Man sieht, wodurch diese Frau schon seit jungen Jahren geprägt wurde und was sie zu dem machte, was sie wurde. Die schauspielerische Leistung von Audrey Tautou trägt den Film und ist indiskutabel.

Auch wenn im Filmtitel die Warnung steht, Coco avant Chanel, ist er doch eine Enttäuschung. Ihr ganz grossen Leistungen bleiben aussen vor. Es ist rätselhaft wie man einen solchen Film über eine der bedeutendsten Modemacherinnen des letzten Jahrhunderts machen kann.
