Headed to Miami to celebrate winter break, four college students from New Jersey take a detour into the bowels of rural West Virginia. There, the unwitting friends uncover a grotesque legend that stains the fabric of a sleepy backwoods town: the legend of truck driver Ray Williams, brutally beaten by a band of locals after stopping off in town for a drink, his body left for dead in an empty cornfield and never found. They have a name for Williams now: Plasterhead. As these teens will soon learn, true evil has no face.

Tja, da haben wir wieder ein gutes Beispiel, was zurzeit den DVD-Markt überflutet. Genau das Genre in dem sich jeder Filmemacher zu Hause fühlt, muss natürlich am meisten leiden. Längst sind Fantasiefilme keine interessanten Dinge mehr. Es gibt keine düsteren Momente, keinen grossartigen Showdown, keine guten Darsteller, Storie fehlt komplett, Effekte sind eh nicht vorhanden. Was will man da noch mit solchen Filmchen. Der geneigte Fan sucht natürlich immer wieder das Besondere am Film, finden wird er kaum was. Bestes Beispiel ist Plasterhead. Erneut ein übles B-Movie, welcher gar nichts von Jason, Michael oder Freddy gelernt hat. Das grosszügige ab 18-Kennzeichen ist daher auch nur erschwindelt. Der Film erhielt von der FSK natürlich eine Freigabe ab 16. Cooles Cover, mehr nicht...
