One of the great horror anthology films of all time, and Mario Bava's personal favorite of his works, Black Sabbath solidified the director's reputation as Europe's maestro of the macabre. In The Telephone... a woman is haunted by menacing phone calls from a former lover. The Wurdulak stars Boris Karloff (The Crimson Cult) as a vampire hunter whose family is stalked by the wandering spirit of an undead ghoul. A Drop Of Water involves a nurse who steals a ring from a corpse - not realizing the curse that is carried with it. This is the AIP English language version of the Mario Bava (The Evil Eye) horror classic, featuring an international cast that includes Michele Mercier (Angelique) and Mark Damon (Johnny Oro).

A beautiful woman is terrorized by call from an ex-lover who has escaped from prison for the pleasure of killing her...a family becomes a feeding ground when their father returns home wounded after ridding the countryside of a hideous vampire...a nurse is haunted by reproaches from the Beyond after stealing aring from the finger of a dead medium!     Da dieser Film leider vergriffen ist , müssen Filmliebhaber nicht verzweifeln. Mit dem Suchbegriff Black Sabbath oder Bava - The Mario Bava Collection - wird man schnell fündig. Bei Die drei Gesichter der Furcht spielt unter anderem die Schauspielerin Michèle Mercier die durch die Angélique Filme berühmt wurde mit.

    habe den film nicht gsehen, eine anschaffung für soundliebhaber lohnt sich aber jedenfall, die legendäre band um ozzy osbourne, black sabbath, hat sich 1969 nach diesem film (ot: black sabbath - the three faces of fear) benannt. lustig nicht?

    Bei dieser Version handelt es sich um die Anolis-DVD ---> uncut.
    Ich persönlich finde die drei Story nicht hervorragend.

    Sofern es sich hier um die Anolis-DVD handelt, ist der Film uncut(ungeschnitten) und Angabe der Filmlänge somit korrekt. Die Fassung Black Sabbath mit ital. Originalsprache läuft in NTSC (langsamere Anspielrate als PAL) und ist mit Sicherheit ungeschnitten.

    Dieser Stoff geht tief unter die Haut. Bava inszenierte 3 Akte wahren Terrors, von denen moderne Horror-Regisseure dicke Scheiben abschneiden können (und auch tun). Als Bonus ist auf diesem Silberling ein interessanter Dokumentarfilm zu Bava und sein Werk aufgebrannt.
