Aufgewachsen mit Western Filmen bin ich der Meinung dass dieser hier einer der wenigen noch immer sehr guten Western ist. James Stewart hervorragend! Spannung von Anfang bis zum Schluss, nebst James Stewart toller Leistung überzeugen auch die anderen; Will Geer als Wyatt Earp und als ziemliche Überraschung Rock Hudson als junger, kriegsbemalter Indianerhäuptling. Wahnsinn, er als Indianer! Zudem überzeugt auch Shelley Winters wie eigentlich immer. Tony Curtis ist auch in einer Miniroller zu sehen. Langweilig wird es hier nie finde ich. Für mich noch immer ein Meisterwerk.
