In 1898, a Queen City housewife (Agnes Moorehead) packed up her ginger-tressed daughters (Rhonda Fleming, Teresa Brewer, Cynthia and Kay Bell) so they could join their newspaperman patriarch in Gold Rush Alaska. They arrived in the Yukon to learn he'd been murdered... and the young women split their time singing in saloons, running the paper, and trying to flush the killer from hiding.
