The Red House stars Edward G. Robinson as Pete Morgan who, with his spinster sister Ellen (Judith Anderson) has raised Meg (Allene Roberts) as their own on a secluded farm. Now a teen, Meg convinces her friend Nath (Lon McCallister) to come help with chores on the farm. Despite Pete's warning of terrors within an abandoned red house in the woods, Meg and Nath explore deep into the forest and discover troubling secrets. The gorgeous music score is by Oscar winner Miklós Rózsa who also composed for Double Indemnity and Spellbound. The Red House is a moody, atmospheric noir drama at it's best!

On the outskrits of a rural town, an isolated farm hosts a small family with a dark secret. At the heart of the neighboring forest sits the red house, terrorizing trespassers with the sound of horrific screams emanating from within its walls.The solitary knowledge of the house closely guarded, but when a stranger comes to the farm to help with chores, the web of secretery begins to unravel. The violence that scarred the family begins to revisit the land and theatens to destroy them all.
