In 1962, members of the OAS (Organization de I`Armee secrete - Organization of the Secret Army), led by Commander Clavet (Jean Rochefort - Innocents With Dirty Hands; The Hairdresser`s Husband; Pret-A-Porter), steal weapons and rob banks in an effort to free General Challe from Tulle Prison. The Police assign Mission Director Paraux (Raymond Pellegrin - Le Deuzieme Souffle) to assist Police Chief Lelong (Michel Bouquet - The Unfaithful Wife; Just Before Nightfall) in tracking them down. Despite having a mole within the police, Clavet may be losing control of some of his own men, as acts of terror begin to play a part.
