Joe (Jeff Fahey, Lawnmower Man) and Beth (Kellie Waymire, Six Feet Under) are both multiple murderers who meet in a corrupt institute for the criminally insane. Despite these less-than-romantic surroundings, the two killers develop a strong bond and fall for one another. But when Joe escapes, the staff torture Beth for information. On the outside, Joe realises that he can't live without Beth, so he returns to the institute and goes on the rampage, freeing all the patients.

In einer Klapsmühle für irre Kriminelle finden die beiden geisteskranken Serienmörder Joe und Beth zueinander, und trotz der eher ungewöhnlichen Umstände entwickelt sich zwischen den beiden Psychopathen ein überaus inniges Liebesverhältnis. Als sich eines Tages die Gelegenheit zur Flucht ergibt, zögern die beiden Turteltauben nicht lange und hinterlassen obendrein bei ihrem Abschied eine gnadenlose Blutspur. Wieder in der Gesellschaft angekommen, finden sie zunächst Unterschlupf bei einem Farmer, der jedoch ziemlich zeitnah der Obsession der beiden Gäste zum Opfer fällt.
