  A teen film that might quite surprise you with its poignancy and deepness. For much of the earlier parts, I was convinced to be watchind an at most mediocre, clichéd teenie flick of "nerds vs. hip kids". I was determined to hate it. However, the closer it draws to the end, the more you start to notice how things fit together, the characters are more believable than you would have thought, and how the film is quite bold in the way it tells its story: straight and bitter, not conceding to sugar-coat it to widen its audience appeal; and without Hollywood's usual annoying tendency to spell every event out in a superfluous "and then this happened" scene. It is a more mature, bold, intelligent and touching film than I would have ever thought from watching its first half. So give it a chance and stick with it to the end.

  film très très touchant et merveilleux! mon film préféré et c'est un film à voir dommage qu'il n existe pas en français!
