With a hilarious swipe at the underside of the film industry, Melanie Griffith, Stephen Dorff and Alicia Witt star in John Water's madcap comedy Cecil B. Demented - an insane tale of a young lunatic filmmaker (Dorff) and his gang of film fanatics, the 'Sprocket Holes'. The Sprocket's goal is to kidnap A-list Hollywood movie goddess Honey Whitlock (Griffith) and force her to perform in their own underground movie. Every inch a star, Honey's career ist at its peak, but her personal llife is in disarray. Forty years old and divorced, she ist still beautiful, rich and talented and is on every producer's short liste despite her reputation as a diva. Agreeing to appear at her latest film's international premiere in Baltimore, she has no idea she is about to meet the most demanding director of her career.

Il regista pazzoide Cecil B. DeMented e la sua scombinata troupe compiono azioni di "terrorismo cinematografico" per distruggere l'industria cinematografica hollywoodiana. La loro ultima impresa è il rapimento dell'attricetta Honey Whitlock: i cineasti ribelli la costringono a recitare nel film underground che stanno realizzando, ma alla fine delle riprese l'attrice abbraccerà la causa di Cecil, diventando anche lei una terrorista cinematografica.

einer von waters' besten filmen, voellig unterschaetzt! der soundtrack ist auch ein must-have, mit den hits BANKABLE BITCH und NO BUDGET! natuerlich ist auch CIAO von meister liberace nicht zu unterschaetzen...

Dass die Figure so öberzeichnet send, macht de ganz Felm erscht loschtig. Also entweder liebt mer de Felm, oder äbe ned (Noch de Pause esch s Kino nor no öppe halbvoll gsi).
