A meteor shower rockets through space, dropping four glowing orbs onto planet Earth. These pods land on the roof of the vacation home of a family of five, their relatives and a wayward boyfriend. What happens next is an adventure in funny intergalactic hijinks. The aliens kidnap one of the family and make him their puppet, for no reason other than it's fun for them. The kids discover the aliens one by one, then figure out that only adults can be brainwashed by the aliens. The kids decide that it is up to them to protect the whole family and save the planet from this troop of four very bold other worldly beings. Eventually, the kids win and the aliens make a quick retreat, calling off a planned invasion of Earth.

The holiday of a group of children is rudely interrupted when they are called into action and forced to defend their home against a band of marauding aliens.
