Belgian war drama set during WWII. A small band of resistance fighters known as the Bad Eggs are recruited by the US military to supply uranium from the Belgian Congo in order to help develop the first nuclear weapons. However, the group, led by Stan (Koen De Bouw), capture a German submarine and find themselves gaining much unwanted attention as they attempt to cross the Atlantic.

sehenswerter U-Boot-Film mit Schwächen

U-235 hat viele positive Aspekte (z.B. Autentizität), aber leider auch diverse Mängel, Logiklöcher und Schwächen.

Man wird zwar gut unterhalten, aber nicht alle Figuren sind sympathisch. Oft wird auch ein alberner Humor integriert, den ich unnötig fand.

Zudem mangelte es mir an Tiefgang (Entführung des deutschen U-Boots mit Uranium) und das Ende kam zu rasch.

Kurzum ist TORPEDO - so heisst der Film ebenfalls - unterhaltsam, aber nicht immer glaubwürdig und deshalb erreicht
er für mich kein Top-Niveau wie andere Kriegsfilme. Für Genre-Fans aber sicherlich sehenswert.
