Director Simon West and Nicolas Cage team-up for the first time since the 1997 blockbuster CON AIR for STOLEN, a unique fast-paced action thriller that takes place during 12 frantic hours on Mardi Gras day in New Orleans. Will Montgomery, a master thief has been released from prison after 8 years. Upon his release, Montgomery`s former criminal cohorts and FBI agent Tim Harlend, are all convinced that the $10 Million loot, was hidden away by Montgomery before he was sentenced. In order to get his hands on it, former partner in crime, Vincent, kidnaps his daughter Alison. Montgomery has only one day to deliver the $10 Million ransom, and he’s left with only one choice: to join forces with another old partner in crime, the beautiful Riley. Together they must pull off one more heist so he can get his daughter back... before it`s too late.

Stolen follows Will Montgomery (Nicolas Cage), a master thief who has been sent to prison for 8 years after being double-crossed in a heist gone awry. Upon his release, he`s ready to leave his criminal past behind and rebuild his relationship with estranged daughter, Alison Loeb (Sami Gayle). Montgomery`s former criminal cohorts and FBI agent Tim Harlend (Danny Huston), are all convinced that the $10 Million dollars was hidden away by Montgomery before he was sentenced. In order to get his hands on it, former partner in crime, Vincent (Josh Lucas), kidnaps Alison and demands the missing loot as ransom; giving Montgomery one day to deliver. Montgomery is left with only one choice: To trust his instincts and join forces again with another old partner in crime, the beautiful, sexy and smart Riley Jeffers (Malin Akerman). Together they must pull off one more heist so he can get his daughter back... before it`s too late.

Nicolas Cage accumule les films souvent très mauvais mais également des très sympathique, ce qui est le cas de celui-ci il atteint pas les sommets mais est regardable et s'oublie aussitot vu

Nach dem Trailer erwartet man einen mittelmässigen Actionstreife, was einigermassen eintrifft. Jedoch bis auf den Anfang ziemlich vorhersehbar, trotz Cage schauspielerlisch nicht mal Mittelmass. Das Ende ist auch keine Überraschung eigentlich. Und wenn er zwischendurch mal schnell Gold stehlen geht als wäre es das Einfachste der Welt, einfach nur lächerlich. Muss man nicht gesehen haben den Streifen. Gebe 4 von 10 Punkten.
Gar nicht mal schlecht...!!!

Ich weiss nicht so recht, was ich von diesem Film halten soll, aber der Trailer sah irgendwie noch cool aus! Ich hab seit "drive angry" keinen Film mehr gesehen mit Cage und von diesem war ich einigermassen enttäuscht. Auch Cage braucht das Geld und muss schauen, dass er noch zu Rollen kommt, zumal wahrscheinlich einfach keiner gewillt ist, potentielle Blockbuster ala "con air" oder "the rock" zu drehen, die Vorlagen wären vorhanden, Geld sicher auch! Nun denn, dass hier läuft unter dem Motto: Dann begnügen wir uns halt mit dem, was man uns vorsetzt, harte Zeiten sind dass. Hier allerdings darf ich etwas beruhigen, ich hab schon bedeutend schlechteres gesehen und hab mich einigermassen unterhalten gefühlt. Der Trailer hält, was er verspricht.
