Ich liess mir sagen, dass der Kult-Streifen der Blaxplotion - "Shaft" - brutal sei. Brutal cool trifft es schon eher. Da habe ich 12 Jahre lang nur den Oscar, Grammy und Golden Globe prämierten Soundtrack von Isaac Hayes (1942-2008) gekannt, und bin nur so geplettet vor Begeisterung! Ein Immergrün der Filmgeschichte.

ambros seelos und blaxploitation-sounds??? klar, der hatte vielleicht für einen deutschen in den 70ern nicht schlecht den groove ... aber der richtig geile blaxploitation-sound kommt von isaac hayes, james brown und roy ayers ...
und: the original is still the best! (beim shaft meinich)

für mich immer noch der beste der shaft-filme. wer auf die musik dazu steht sollte unbedingt mal die "groove collection"-cd von ambros seelos abchecken. dort hat es einige titel dieser art drauf. blaxploitation-sounds vom feinsten!
