Sehr komplexer Filmtrip des Meisters des Surrealem, Alejandro Jodorowski. Für kommerziell orientierte Zuschauer dürfte der Film zu verstörend sein um sich darauf einzulassen. Aber für kultivierte, intelligente Menschen, die die Symbolik und Metaphern entschlüsseln können ist der Film eine Offenbarung

Sehr abgedrehter Film, bei dem man manchmal mühe hat mitzukommen bzw. die Szenen zu deuten und zu verstehen was der Regiesseur damit ausdrücken will. Weniger Gewaltszenen als in anderen Filmen der Kinokontrovers-Reihe, aber nichtsdestotrotz passend in der Reihe.
