In den 1980ern kamen u.a. Schauspieler wie Brad Pitt und Johnny Depp an die Filmsets wo Mickey Rourke drehte um ihr Idol zu sehen. Der Film ist ein Juwel und wäre ohne Rourke nicht mal das Halbe davon.
