At the center of it all is a radiant Cher as Loretta, an unlucky-in-love bookkeeper whose feelings about her engagement to the staid Johnny (Danny Aiello) are thrown into question after she meets his hot-blooded brother, Ronny (Nicolas Cage), and one night at the opera changes everything. Winner of the Academy Awards for best actress (Cher), supporting actress (Olympia Dukakis), and original screenplay (by playwright John Patrick Shanley), this modern-day fairy tale is swept along on passionate Puccini melodies, and directed by master storyteller Norman Jewison with the heightened emotion to match.

    Ein sehr schöner Märchenfilm, der direkt ins Herz geht. Mit einer Glanzleistung von Cher und Nicolas Cage, aber auch alle anderen Schauspieler, die den Mond zum Leuchten bringen.

    Ein echt schöner Film, wie man ihn sich wünscht! Cher & Olympia spielen ihre Rollen super, und auch alle anderen sind wie auf den Film zugeschnitten! "Ah, che bella luna..."

    einer der schönsten Filme der späten 80er. Perfekt besetzt bis in die letzte Rolle. Cher und Mutter Olympia haben Ihre Oscars zu Recht erhalten...Prosecco ist ja sowas leckeres...

    Ist eigentlich ein sehr guter Film, doch für Nicolas Cage eigentlich unter der würde! (The Rock, Face Off, Con Air, Nur noch 60 Sekundn.)
