Without question, the most outlandish home in Los Angeles belongs to Nick Vanderpark (Jack Black), the zillionaire inventor of Vapoorize, the miracle dog poo remover. An enormous estate complete with bowling alleys, corrals, vineyards and merry-go-rounds, it's driving his next-door-neighbour Tim dingman (Ben Stiller) nuts! Especially when Tim could have been rolling in dough too, if only he'd invested when he had the chance. So after he loses his job and his wife walks out on him, Tim turns to the one person who can help him, the J-Man (Christopher Walken), a wacko hippie barfly with a harebrained scheme for every occasion, in this outrageous black comedy about a good man spoiled by success-his neighbour's!

Non c`è dubbio, la supermegavilla più incredibile di Los Angeles è quella di Nick Vanderpark, il miliardario inventore del Vapoorize, uno spray che fa scomparire i bisogni dei cani. Anche Tim avrebbe potuto essere così ricco se solo avesse investito nel Vapoorize quando Nick glielo ha proposto. Ha perso una grande occasione e ora è davvero molto, ma molto invidioso...

bin schon sehr enttäuscht worden...habe was lustigeres erwartet....klar sind ein paar lacher drunter. aber das macht den film nur gerade:

Der Film ist absolut zum totlachen, ein Geheimtipp!
Christopher Walken als J.Man mal grossartig anders und selbstironisch.kaufen!

Wow, wenn das kein Tiefschlag ist. Am Drehbuch soll übrigens noch Larry "Curb Your Seinfeld" Davis mitgewerkelt haben. Auf diese Weise kann allerdings nur ein Film missraten, an welchem beinahe ausschliesslich talentierte Leute beteiligt sind. Man erinnere sich an deVito's "Death to Smoochy". Sogar Christoher Walken ist irgendwie Scheisse und das hat Seltenheitswert.
