Young and shy Rebecca Befriends Tommy while visiting her grandfather in a remote coastal area. Their profound fairy-tale romance comes to an end when Rebecca must follow her mother to faraway Tokyo. Twelve years later, Rebecca, now a young woman returns to settle in her late grandfather's beach house.
