Description

The warped minds at Adult Swim`s ROBOT CHICKEN take their demented sensibility to the holy grail of sci-fi epics, STAR WARS, in this hilarious special. Jaws will drop as Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine trade "yo mama" jokes, George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln battle it out with lightsabers, and Darth Vader sobs on the telephone. But the show really hits its stride when riffing on the franchise`s supporting characters, including bug-eyed Admiral Akbar (promoting a delicious breakfast cereal), the rowdy barflies at the Mos Eisley Cantina (a couple of architects out for a tragic after-work drink), and of course Jar Jar Binks (thank you). As usual, a cast of celebrities lend their voices to the animated antics-including Hulk Hogan, Conan O`Brien, and James Van Der Beek-with even George Lucas getting in on the action for his flannel-clad counterpart.

Mittels der Stop-Motion (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride) werden sämtliche Filme, TV-Serien, Promis etc. auf's derbste in bester South Park-Manier parodiert und auf die Schippe genommen! Eine Folge dauert knapp 11 Minuten und besteht nicht aus einer Geschichte -wie z.B. bei South Park-, sondern aus mehreren kurzen "Beiträgen" (oder Geschichten) verschiedenster Art, ähnlich jener der Tagesschau. Was vor allem fasziniert, ist die enorme Vielfalt und Detailtreue der Figuren! Die Puppen wurden wirklich genial, gut und mit viel Liebe ihren Vorbildern nachempfunden!! South Park- und Stop-Motion- sowie Satire-Fans sollten voll auf ihre Kosten kommen!
